Oh no… only a week!

Yesterday was, again, a whirlwind of activity.  Michael and his brother worked outside most of the day.  They glued the footers for the bridge, and then installed the skimmer for the pond.

I went on an adventure to pick up the wee one and drop off the ribbons for the cake.  Then, when I got home I actually worked on the dress!!!  I got so far as to make the lining for the petticoat.  I also read the instructions for the ruffley interior bits of the petticoat.  Yay me!  Then, I decided to check on the boys.

Going outside to check on them resulted in deciding to help.  So, I filled all the cinder blocks for the waterfall with dirt, then built up all the area around the 4 block high cinder block wall with dirt.  Michael helped me with that while his brother finished the bottom of the pond.  That was definitely hard work!  Eventually, I had the whole wall thing covered so we were ready to lay the GINORMOUS pond liner.

Quickly, we discovered the liner was quite a bit wider than necessary.   It was difficult to maneuver, but we got it done.  We added some water to hold the liner in place and Michael attached the door to the skimmer.  This is about the time I quit.  I was EXHAUSTED from moving all the dirt.  I went inside, cleaned up, and went on a journey to AC Moore and Target.

AC Moore yielded the etching cream needed for a top secret project.  Target yielded food for dinner.  After preparing some ultra-yummy nachos, I settled down to watch Wednesday night’s Project Runway.  (This is now about 10 pm).  This somewhat motivated me to get back to the dress, but I opted instead to watch an episode of Good Eats featuring fondue (Alton Brown is a genius) and work on a top secret project (that did not involve etching cream) for the favors for the wedding.  I actually completed that task (in about 2-2.5 hours).  I debated cutting fabric for the dress, then decided it was 2am-ish and I was soooooo tired.

So, I slept.

This morning, I woke up about 7:30am.  I actually got up, cut out the tulle for the ruffley bits, and then wrote this.  In about 15 minutes, I’m taking the small one to a home-school park day, so I guess I need to stop rambling and go do a super-duper ultra-quick clean up of the house.  We have company coming this afternoon, and all of my projects are laying about.

Oh yeah… tonight’s the Bachelorette Party and Bachelor Party!  I’m sooooo excited!

=^_^=
